The “Nigerian Stethoscope” is a peer-reviewed  open access medical journal jointly owned by the Ekiti State University College of Medicine, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria, Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital (EKSUTH), Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria and the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (EKSUTH Branch). 

The journal is primarily online with semi-annual print on demand compilation of published issues.

The scope of the journal includes all areas of Medicine and Dentistry (basic and clinical medicine) and allied professional fields.

Frequency	Semiannual
Subject	Medical sciences and clinical specialties including basic medical sciences, internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, obstetrics & gyneacology, community medicine, laboratory medicine. Also included are allied professional fields such as nursing, physiotherapy, clinical psychology among others
Readership	Local and international researchers, practising physicians, resident doctors, medical students, policy makers and general public
